かすれ【掠れ】

1 〔かすれていること〕 (声の) huskiness; (文字などの) a light brush-stroke.

●〔書道で〕 この辺のかすれがいい味出しているよ. This looks good, where your brush has only lightly touched the paper.

2 〔品不足〕 a shortage (of goods).

●品がすれ a shortage of goods.

かすれ声 a husky [hoarse, rasping, throaty] voice.

●かすれ声の歌手 a husky-voiced singer.
